Bourn Beyond the Book provides engaging educational workshops designed to bring classroom topics vividly to life.
Workshops are tailored to support curriculum objectives while creating memorable learning experiences. Sessions can be adapted to suit your cohort and curriculum needs.
Workshops are suitable for KS1 and KS2.

Available sessions

History

Led by a qualified teacher, each session uses artefacts, activities and storytelling to deepen pupil understanding and engagement.

  • Stone age to Iron Age
  • Early Medieval Britain: invasion and settlement by Anglo Saxons, including the Viking invasion of Britain.
  • Coming soon: Ancient Greeks.

Music

Following Music sessions, schools will be provided with MP3 files of the children’s work.

  • Using Music Technology to produce and compose music – This workshop supports progression in composition and understanding of the inter-related dimensions of music.
  • Group Singing & Vocal Leadership – Drawing on Singing for Pleasure training, sessions focus on joyful, inclusive whole-class singing, developing vocal confidence, musicality, and ensemble skills.
